Panthera onca augusta

Pleistocene jaguar - Although I cannot find satisfying specimen data, numerous reports have spread that there is a 14" skull that was found of this species. 2 Other specimens of this sub-species were estimated for weight to be about 79lbs, and 220lbs respectively (both were well within modern jaguar proportions). Estimating weight of the specimen with a massive tiger sized skull, one can make a safe prediction with the cube law that it weighed upwards of 420lbs. Shoulder height for this specimen would stack up to just under 90cm (lion size).
